Western Union Gets Robbed

western unionThe Corozal Police report that Doris Montejo, 28-year-old, Front Line Associate for Western Union in Corozal Town reported that on the morning of Monday, November 6th at about 9 AM when she was arriving at the Western Union Office, located on 4th Street South in Corozal Town, a male approached her holding what appeared to be a firearm under his shirt.

The male then demanded that she hand over her purse which contained $10,000 in various denominations that belonged to Western Union.

Fearing for her life, Montejo handed over the purse as well as a smaller purse which contained her personal belongings, $100.00 in cash and 1 Samsung Galaxy 7 Prime Mobile Phone, valued at $1,000.00.

The robber immediately fled the scene.
