Four Busted For Robbing $27 From Asian Restaurant

On Sunday, May 21st at about 11:20 AM, Ladyville Police Officers were called out to the New Hope Restaurant located on the corner of Pigeon and Partridge Street in Ladyville Village, Belize District.

Upon arrival, 24-year-old, Jia Hua Li, owner of the restaurant reported to the Police Officers that at about 11:12 AM, a male of dark skin complexion with dread locks approached the burglar barred window of the restaurant where customers were served at.

The male was seen to be wielding a small hand gun which he aimed at Jia Hua Li and demanded all the cash from the register.

The male was given $27.00 which was all the business had made for the day which he grabbed then got onto his bicycle and rode away.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery.

Ladyville Police report that the robber was apprehended later that same day along with three other men who are believed to have been accomplices to the robbery.

They are all currently pending charges.

No names have been released.
