BAHA Confirms Cases Of Bovine Rabies In Belizean Cows

The Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA) has announced that there has been confirmed cases of Bovine Rabies in the districts of Orange Walk, Cayo and Toledo.

Bovine Rabies is a special type of rabies that affects cattle and is known to be fatal, it can also be transmitted to humans so it is advised for all farmers to ensure their livestock are vaccinated.

Affected animals will show aggressive behavior and may salivate more than normal.
