17 Year Old Killed By Cousin In Chetumal

At around 2:30 AM on Thursday, May 4th, Mexican Police Officers were called to an address on Juan Jose Siordia Street in Chetumal, Quintana Roo.

Upon arrival they found 17-year-old, Belizean student Saul Pech, laying on the floor severely bleeding from a stab wound to his chest.

Paramedics were immediately called to the scene of the crime but by the time they arrived, Pech had already bled out and died.

According to the person who called the authorities, he is a room mate of Saul’s and when he arrived at the home he found Saul with the knife wound to his chest and pleading for help claiming that his cousin had just stabbed him.

As for Pech’s cousin, he was arrested and is currently awaiting murder charges.

Romario Pech remains in Police Custody in Chetumal, Quintana Roo where he is facing murder charges but according to sources, Pech’s attorney is pleading that his client, Romario Pech is Not Guilty by reason of Insanity.

Romario will be undergoing a psychiatric evaluation later this week to determine his state of sanity before continuing with the trial.

If he is found clinically insane, he will be spending countless years serving his sentence in a psychiatric facility.
